As a young boy living life so care free
I thought about everything my life would be
Teaching a class full of children like me
Or maybe exploring the vast galaxy
There’s so many places to go and to see
The difference in people like fish in the sea
With so many others who've gone before me
Will I make a difference in changing history?

But hearts in despair
There’s no love to share
There’s so much pain in this world
It is beyond the repair

I know my only hope is to have a dream
To share and give is the way my life will be
I will never give up no matter my heart is set on
I have a dream of my own and this is my only hope.

Or maybe the orphan with only one dream
To finally come home to a family
Follow your heart and you’ll find destiny
I believe that this life is much bigger than me

But what’s right and what’s wrong?
Can I do this alone?
I must build up my strength
And I’m gonna keep moving on

I know my only hope is to have a dream
